Cancelling or modifying your booking

How to cancel or change a booking, what the cancellation policy looks like, and what counts as a documented emergency.

You can cancel or change a booking through the booking app or by messaging us through chat. The cancellation policy that applies to your booking is the one shown at the time you booked — it's displayed before you confirm.

How to cancel

The fastest way to cancel:

  • In the booking app — find your booking, choose Cancel

  • Through chat — message us at midtntrailerrentals.com or help.midtntrailerrentals.com with your booking number

The cancellation policy that applies is whatever was displayed at the time you booked. Any charge is calculated against that policy and the time of cancellation, and confirmed to you when the cancellation processes.

How to modify

Changes to dates, times, or duration go through the same paths — booking app or chat. Modifications are subject to trailer availability for the new times.

If your modification reduces the rental (e.g., shorter duration), any refund follows the same logic as a partial cancellation. If it extends the rental (longer duration), additional charges process the same way as the original booking.

The cancellation policy

The cancellation policy displayed during the booking flow is the version that governs your specific booking. Generally:

  • The further in advance you cancel, the smaller (or no) charge

  • Cancellations close to the pickup time may be charged at a higher percentage of the rental rate

  • No-shows are charged at the full rental rate

The exact percentages and time thresholds are in the policy you see at booking — that's the binding version.

Documented emergencies

We may waive cancellation charges for documented emergencies (medical issues, family emergencies, severe weather affecting the pickup area, and similar). This is at our discretion and we'll work through it with you — message us in chat with what's going on.

We can't pre-promise that any specific situation qualifies. The intent is to be reasonable when something genuinely unexpected happens that's outside your control.

Full terms in your Rental Agreement

Cancellation policy reference is in § 17 (Cancellation Policy) of your Rental Agreement.
