Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about renting a dump trailer in Middle Tennessee.

What does it cost?

Our dump trailer rates:

  • Day: $200

  • Weekend: $475

  • Week: $750

  • Month: $2,400

Plus 9.75% TN sales tax. A $100 cleaning fee applies if the trailer is returned with debris in the bed.

Hourly and 4-hour options are also available — see all 8 tiers when you start a booking.

Is there a deposit?

No security deposit. We authorize your payment method at checkout — that hold is verification, not a charge. You only pay the rental amount.

For damage protection, the photos you take at pickup and return are the record of trailer condition.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Any major credit or debit card through the booking platform's secure checkout.

What can I haul?

Our dump trailer is rated for up to 7,000 lbs of cargo. Typical loads include yard waste, brush, mulch, gravel, dirt, construction debris, bagged trash, and demolition material. The dump bed handles loose material you can shovel or rake out at the dump site.

What can't go in: hazardous waste (paint, chemicals, oil), asbestos, anything still on fire, or anything that would require special disposal. If you're unsure about a specific load, ask before loading.

Always verify your tow vehicle's rating is at or above the loaded trailer weight — that rating may be lower than the trailer's max capacity.

Where is pickup?

Pickup is at our location in White House, TN — about 25 miles north of Nashville, just off I-65. The exact pickup spot for your booking is shown in the booking app, and the smart keybox at that location holds the key for your reserved trailer.

We don't deliver. This is a self-service rental designed to keep prices low and pickup flexible — anytime within your rental window, day or night.

How old do I have to be?

You must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, and pass our ID verification check during booking. If your license is from outside the US, message us before booking to confirm it's accepted.

Can businesses rent?

Yes. The booking process is the same as personal use — the renter on file just needs to be authorized to act on behalf of the business and have a valid driver's license.

For frequent business rentals or fleet usage, message us to discuss any account-level arrangements that might fit your usage pattern.

What if I'm late returning?

If you'll be late, message us as early as you can and we'll see if it works. If the trailer's booked right after you, late returns can lead to late fees and possible refund obligations to the next renter.

Late fees are charged in next-tier increments based on how far past your return time you are. The booking app shows your return time clearly, and we'll text you a reminder before it.

What if I damage the trailer?

Take photos of the damage and message us as soon as possible. Don't try to repair anything yourself — we'll handle it through our process.

Damage charges are based on comparing pickup photos (when the trailer was in your custody) to return photos. We charge actual repair cost — parts plus labor at standard market rates. For damage that prevents the next rental from happening on schedule, there's also a Loss of Use charge to cover lost revenue.

If you disagree with a charge, you can dispute it — message us with details and we'll review together.

How do I contact you?

The fastest way to reach us is the chat on midtntrailerrentals.com or help.midtntrailerrentals.com — we monitor it 8am–8pm CT and reply quickly. Outside hours, leave a message and we'll respond as soon as we're back online.

You can also email [email protected] anytime. For urgent issues during a rental, our phone is (615) 850-3751.
