Our rental works without a counter or front desk. You book online, drive to our location, and use a PIN to access the trailer from a smart keybox — no waiting on business hours, no waiting in line. The whole loop from booking to return is designed for you to be in and out on your own schedule, day or night.
What's automated
Several parts of the rental are handled by software so you don't have to wait on us:
Reservation and pricing. Pick your dates online and see exact cost — including tax and any fees — before you confirm.
ID verification. Upload a photo of your driver's license and a selfie at booking. The booking platform verifies them against each other; takes about a minute.
Access. When your pickup window opens, a smart keybox at the trailer location unlocks with a 6-digit PIN we text you. Inside the keybox is the key for the coupler lock.
Photo capture. The booking app prompts you for the required photos at pickup and return.
Payment. Your card is authorized at booking and charged after return. Any additional charges (damage, cleaning, late fees) get itemized with photo evidence and notified by email.
What you do (the parts that aren't automated)
The parts we can't do for you:
Provide a tow vehicle. You bring a vehicle rated for the trailer's loaded weight.
Hitch and unhitch. Standard process — ball, safety chains, electrical connector, jack stand. Test lights and brakes before driving off.
Drive safely. You're the operator; your auto insurance is what protects you and others on the road.
Take the pickup and return photos. They're how we agree on trailer condition. Skipping them makes condition disputes much harder to resolve.
Load within limits. Stay under the trailer's weight rating, secure your cargo, and don't haul prohibited materials.
Sweep the trailer out before return — avoids the $100 cleaning fee.
The full flow, start to finish
Book online at midtntrailerrentals.com. Pick a trailer, dates, and pickup window.
Verify your ID during checkout (license photo + selfie).
Receive your PIN by text before your pickup window opens.
Arrive at the pickup location any time within your window.
Find the smart keybox on the driver side of the trailer near the front, mounted low on the main beam. Open it with your PIN. Inside is the key to the coupler lock.
Take the pickup photos through the booking app.
Hitch up. Ball, safety chains, electrical connector. Test lights and brakes.
Tow, load, work — the trailer is yours for the rental window.
Return to the same location before your return time. Sweep the trailer out.
Lock the coupler with the lock from the toolbox. Put the key back in the keybox.
Take the return photos. Submit through the booking app to mark the return.
You're done. Final charges process; any extras come with photo evidence.
